Scope and Contents: Student organizations have been a large part of the extracurricular life of the student at Brandeis since the founding of the University in 1948. Student organizations include performance groups, ethnic associations, literary associations, academic societies, and public service groups. All organizations are created and run by students. Currently, there are more than 200 clubs and organizations at Brandeis.
The material in this collection was created from 1949 through 2006 by individual student organizations. This collection contains lists of organizations, as well as constitutions, newsletters, programs, event announcements, memos, audio tapes, CDs, posters, and stationery of individual organizations. It also includes two microfilm rolls of documents concerning the 1969 student occupation of Ford Hall.
